Chamrousse's new Himalayan footbridge, a must for all thrill-seekers!
A suspension bridge over the Casserousse couloir, accessible from La Croix, provides access to the Belledonne belvedere with views of the Robert lakes.

Casserousse Himalayan footbridge in figures: 130 m long, 0.9 m wide and 25 m high, with a maximum gradient of 9.5%.

In summer: part of the "Boucle du Panoramic Park de la Croix de Chamrousse" at the top of the resort, via the "Belledonne" pedestrian loop.
Access route: gondola > picnic area > Himalayan footbridge > Belledonne lookout > Himalayan footbridge > picnic area.
Good to know: if you're afraid of heights but still want to discover the Belledonne lookout, you can take the access path just below to avoid it.

Easy access to the summit via the La Croix gondola (fee payable): daily in summer (July-August) and weekends only in late June and September (subject to weather conditions).

Opening periodFrom 06/02 to 14/04, daily.
Winter opening (subject to weather and snow conditions): easy access via the Croix gondola!
Start from the footbridge below the Croix de Chamrousse (on the Robert lakes side) 300m after the picnic area on the left.
⚠ Shoes with CRAMPONS (OR SNOW SHOES) STRONGLY ADVISED on the access path from the Croix de Chamrousse to the footbridge.

From 15/06 to 15/10, daily.
Departure from the footbridge below the Croix de Chamrousse (on the Lacs Robert side).
Summer easy access via the Croix gondola opening: daily in July and August + first 2 weekends in June and weekends in September, weather permitting (confirmation on Thursday for weekends).

Subject to favorable weather.

Additional welcome⚠ Winter: snow-covered access with approach walk, no city sneakers but rather mountain boots/snow boots with CRAMPONS (or SNOWSHOES) strongly recommended!

Free of charge. Access to the top of the resort is via the La Croix cable car at Chamrousse 1650 - Recoin: in summer, a pedestrian pass (one-way or round-trip); in winter, a ski pass or a pedestrian pass.
